This is a guaranteed authentic item, purchased directly from a US military surplus shop.
Recently, items with the elongated white tag, which are considered "later year models," are being sold at high prices, but the specifications differ from this one.
The ones being sold as later year models do not use PrimaLoft for the insulation, and the texture of the outer fabric also feels cheap.
I think the older year models are overwhelmingly better in terms of silhouette and quality.
